AHMEDABAD: The narco analysis of the three accused in the Surat gangrape revealed a well-planned plot to ensnare innocent girls, rape and film them and trade the rape clips at a premium. The police first administered the truth serum on Shahid Saiyad and Tariq Saiyad, sons of police officers, who confessed on Sunday that the trio had raped at least seven others. They also spoke about their roaring business of selling the video clips of their devilry.
Indications are that the mastermind of this plot was the eldest of the three – Abu Bakr – who runs a mobile store at Janata Market in Surat.
Going by the revelations, Shahid and Tariq were not interested in the money gained in the business, and did it only for sadistic pleasure. said a senior police official of Surat police commissionerate. Shahid also runs a mobile store while Tariq works with a mobile service provider as a collection agent.
On Sunday DFS officials divided the trio into two groups.

Surat: Though Surtis simmered in outrage stoked after a teenaged schoolgirl was gangraped on Friday, they thwarted the possibility of a communal flare-up by ignoring the call for a bandh on Monday, made by the VHP. The accused belong to the minority community. Shops and commercial establishments across Surat carried on with business, oblivious to the bandh.
As for the accused in the Surat gangrape case, one of them, Shahid, might be selling MMS clips of gangrape incidents for profit, said police sources apprised of the investigations. Forty-two unsavoury MMS clips, of which seven involved gangrapes, were stored his Shahid’s phone.
The clips were probably shot to blackmail victims and the accused made money from them, the sources said. The police did not rule out the possibility of the three accused being involved in a sex racket.

Surat: Police have recovered two MMS clippings of the alleged gangrape of a minor schoolgirl in Surat on June 12 in a moving car, allegedly featuring two of the accused, Tariq Saiyed and Abu Bakr. The police also claim to have found on their phones, laptops and computer several other MMSes recording their sexual encounters.
Tariq and his cousin Shahid, as well as their friend Abu Bakr, are in Crime Branch custody on a 14-day remand.
The Surat police are also investigating if one of the three had a hand in the murder of a call girl, found dead on January 16 in the city. According to police sources, an identity sketch prepared on the description of a suspect, provided by a friend of the dead call girl, matches one of the three.
Based on the MMSes recovered from their phones and laptops, police are also investigating the possibility that the same accused — the son of a head constable, and an aspiring model — raped a mentally challenged girl.
The body of the 35-year-old Nepali call girl had been recovered in Surat on January 16. Police have made no arrests in the case so far.
According to a police official who interrogated the three, Tariq, Shahid and Abu Bakr were returning home to Nanpura early on Friday morning from a dhaba, around 18 km from Surat, in an Opel Corsa when they spotted the minor girl with a friend near Kadiwala School. Abu Bakr was driving the car, Tariq sat in the front with him while Shahid was sitting at the back.
They stopped the car near the couple, got off and forced them into the car pretending to be officers from the police Special Operations Group. They allegedly threatened to implicate them in a false case if the girl did not agree to have sex with them. Then, they forced themselves on her, even as Shahid recorded it on his camera.
According to the police, while one of the MMS clips is 35-minute-long, the other lasts about 12 minutes.
They dropped the girl back at the Kadiwala School and threatened that if she told anyone, the MMS would be distributed publicly.
Police say at least 10 more clips have been recovered from Shahid and Abu Bakr’s phones, while Crime Branch police claim to have found 15 more on the laptop of Shahid. Most of them allegedly show them having sex with call girls.

Well it is very easy to put everyone in the same basket by highlighting case from particular ethnicities or religious backgrounds.(as man is not perfect only God is)..I am sure you will find criminals across and not just one community infact when people commit any evil act they do not represent their religios beliefs.
What is the solution— finding the reason for any anti-social activities..and fixing this otherwise tit for tat behavior would only increase the problem and is stupid, non-constructive

The problem with these incidents is that after few days we do not hear anything and pressure is lifted from law enforcement and politicians which I think people should be able to follow this more closely.
I would really appreciate if somebody can start a blog or webpage and stop this event which took us all by horror from going away.

The term “right hand’s possession” does not apply in these times, it was there during the old days when slavery was rampant. Do you think there are no criminals or courts in Islamic countries? There are – and a number of muslims are behind bars or punished severely based on their crimes. What would you say to a Christian or a Hindu or someone of another caste who uses his religion as an excuse to murder people – Would he be a Christian Terrorist or a Hindu Terrorist? No, He would be a terrorist. The problem is illiteracy – if someone is literate in both his/her religion AND educated – They will never misinterpret the teachings of the religion. No religion teaches terror or murder – All religions talk about peace.
People use the Quran out of context for their own benefits. Yes, there are verses which talk about fighting, but these were during the war. eg: If we are at war with Pakistan, and we say Kill a Pakistani wherever you see one. Would the statement also apply when the war is over and we have good relations with the country? No – Same is the situation with the Quran, it tells you that during the war, fight against the infidels(of Mecca). If you met a Muslim talking about these verses and he is knowledgable, he will also tell you this – If you fight someone and they surrender, do not harm them….not only that, you should ensure that you take the person to a place where he is safe. Now, is it Islam’s fault that some of the followers do not follow Islam?
Pornography is forbidden in Islam – Just because the criminals’ names are Tariq, Abu Bakr, you cannot tell that they are muslims. To be a Muslim you have to follow Islam and Qur’an. Which teches nothing but peace and brotherhood EVEN with non-muslims. Islam forbids us to even interfere in someone elses religion. it is important to respect other religions – You should pass the message of Islam, but not force someone to follow it.

In Islam, you are supposed to follow the law of the country you live in….unless it tells you to disobey Allah – Which none of the countries do.
The problem is that there are few who follow real Islam and we must not judge the religion by the people who do not follow it or twist it to their own whims and fancies to make it “benefitable” for their own evil causes. I would urge everyone not to judge Islam and instead of cultivating hatred against Islam, if you see any Muslim breaking Islamic law, you should tell them what kind of Muslim is that person if he does not even follow his religion.

It was really disturbing to see so much hatred against Islam and Muslims in general and it is our individual responsibility to ensure that love and harmony prevails. That said, Criminals/Mischeif Mongers of any caste or creed must be brought to trial under law – not with their religion but with their deeds.
I also request the moderator of this site to not pluck out incidents involving “Muslims” or “Islam” and highlight them and cause hatred to be spread. if you look in the news, you will find crimes committed by people of all religions and we cannot judge them by their religion – but judge them as criminals.
Instead, would’nt it be great to bond with Muslims, spread the right word and love each other and avoid the riots and fights and resolve them with talks. I have a number of non-muslim friends (Hindus, Christians, Sindhis, Gujaratis, Brahmans, Dalits) and we share a great bond of friendship – If you have muslim friends, ask them questions and if they cannot answer, please go to the right source and find the answer and share it with your Muslim brother that his belief is wrong and he/she needs to go learn his own religion before preaching it.
