Q & A: Why do Muslims invite you to embrace Islam?

Posted by jagoindia on September 10, 2008

Reader Bubli in this thread invites you to islam.
I invite you to say and belive “Non has the right to worship except only one God “Allah” and Prophet Mohammed (Peace be upon him) is the last and Final Messanger”.

We often come across to such invitations. Why?  Here is the answer
Source
The reason is
Muhammad, as we will see, used to exhort his followers:

“Invitation first (that is, call them first to embrace Islam). If they refuse, then war.”

In other words, he told his followers not to kill anybody unless you first invite him to embrace Islam. Only if he rejects it, must he be killed. This is evident in the story of Abu Sufyan:

When Muhammad and his followers were about to attack Mecca to subjugate it to Islam, his adherents arrested Abu Sufyan, one of Mecca’s inhabitants. They brought him to Muhammad. Muhammad told him: “Woe to you, O Abu Sufyan. Is it not time for you to realize that there is no God but the only God?” Abu Sufyan answered: “I do believe that.” Muhammad then said to him: “Woe to you, O Abu Sufyan. Is it not time for you to know that I am the apostle of God?” Abu Sufyan answered: “By God, O Muhammad, of this there is doubt in my soul.” The ’Abbas who was present with Muhammad told Abu Sufyan: “Woe to you! Accept Islam and testify that Muhammad is the apostle of God before your neck is cut off by the sword.” Thus he professed the faith of Islam and became a Muslim.

Ahmedabad blasts accused part of larger terror network: Probe

Ahmedabad, Sep 9 (PTI) The 14 SIMI members arrested in connection with the July 26 serial blasts here are part of a larger terror network going beyond India’s borders which operated at different levels while executing the terror attack, an investigator has said.
Investigations into the case have revealed the accused were associated with other terrorist organisations which might have network in other countries, he said.

“The SIMI members operated at three levels while planning the terror attacks — the masterminds or motivators, the logistics providers and the executors,” the official said on condition of anonymity.

“The masterminds are the ones who plan the entire plot and delegate jobs. The logistics supporters are technical experts well trained in making bombs and handling explosives. They also provide the raw materials like ammonium nitrate, shrapnels and gas cylinders,” he explained.

“The executors are persons who are well versed with the locality or the area where the explosives are to be planted. They are the ones who plant these bombs in areas where there would be maximum impact of the explosion”, the investigator said.

According to the officer, SIMI leaders Safdar Nagori, Mufti Abu Bashir, Abdul Sibley, Hafeez Hussain, Kamruddin Nagori and Amil Pervez were part of the mastermind or the motivator group who planed the terror attacks.

They also identified and motivated youths whom they later used for execution of the 18 bomb blasts that killed 55 persons, he added. PTI

Ganesh processions marred by violence

Dindigul, Sept 17: Ganesh Chathurthi processions in the district since last night were marred by violence and a protest led to police lathicharge in one area in which one person was injured, police said today.

Never felt discrimination as a Muslim, says Naseeruddin Shah

Never felt discrimination as a Muslim, says Naseeruddin Shah

IANS  | Thursday, 04 September , 2008, 10:35

Acclaimed actor Naseeruddin Shah on Wednesday said he did not agree with Shabana Azmi’s view that Muslims were discriminated against in India and added that he had never faced any such problem.

“I have never felt any discrimination. I have never been refused housing in Bombay. I have lived there in all kinds of conditions from a paying guest, sharing with six people to having two apartments of my own. I have never had these problems. I don’t deny that these problems exist, but I don’t think that Muslims are exclusively the victims,” Shah said.

“The less we nurse this persecution thing, the better it will be,” Shah told NDTV news channel on its programme India 60 Minutes.

He added: “I think that when the occasion arises, anyone is discriminated against. I can cite instances when Hindus have been discriminated against; forget about Christians, Sikhs, Parsis and so on.”

Shabana last week told another news channel that Muslims were often treated as second-class citizens. She said: “I cannot get a house in Mumbai. I wanted to buy a flat in Mumbai and it wasn’t given to me because I was a Muslim, and I read the same about Saif (Ali Khan).”

“Now, I mean, if Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi cannot get a flat in Mumbai because they are Muslims, then what are we talking about?” said Azmi.

Cops studying Jihadi manuals meant for Islamic terrorism in India

Posted by jagoindia on September 10, 2008

Jihadi manuals under scrutiny
10 Sep 2008, 0501 hrs IST, Parth Shastri,TNN

AHMEDABAD: City crime branch officials are burning the midnight oil, literally. The cops are busy scrutinising manuals used in various terrorist training camps held by SIMI and other outfits and feel these will given an insight into mindset of terror outfits.

Apart from jihadi literature seized from the house of one of the accused, Imran Shaikh in Vadodara, cops also found a training manual from an abandoned well near Sidi Saiyed mosque on September 2. “The manuals were designed for youths who were ready to perform operations directed by the top brass. Urdu is the principal language used. Some literature was found in Gujarati too, but is few in number,” said a crime branch official. He added that the material has various sections dealing with religious and physical activities. “By studying these manuals, one can understand the process these youths go through. We believe there are more of such manuals,” he said.

“The modules are based on a step-by-step training. The first deals with physical exercises, while other modules deal with swimming, rock climbing, trekking and martial arts,” said a crime branch official.

Also, there is focus on mental strength. “In his statement to Karnataka police, Riyazuddin Nasir – son of Maulana Nasiruddin, held in the Haren Pandya murder case – said daily prayers were a vital part of bonding. Leaders would preach about concepts like jihad, hijrat and darul harab at the camps,” the official said.

Simi has 50 front outfits

Simi has 50 front outfits

By Namrata Biji Ahuja
New Delhi, asianage.com

Sept. 8: Over two dozen “cover” organisations of the banned Students’ Islamic Movement of India are now operating in South India, and government documents reveal there are 50 such front outfits across the country.

Simi activist Shibli’s confession statement, a copy of which is available with this newspaper, said the jihadi outfit was “looking for ways to establish links with the Taliban.” It is using these “cover” organisations to recruit educated young people to carry out tasks such as acquiring arms and ammunition, collection of funds, training Simi cadres and circulating literature, particularly in the southern states.

Intelligence inputs show that some of these outfits are state-specific, while others operate on a national or regional level. At the national level, Simi is using Tahrik Tahaffuj-e-sha’aire Islam (TTSI), Wahadat-e-Islami, Tahrik-e-Ehyaa-e-Ummat and Tehrik-Talaba-eArabia as front organisations.

In Delhi, it is trying to carry out its subversive agenda through the innocuous-sounding Students Welfare Trust (SWI). A few weeks back, national security adviser M.K. Narayanan had said there were several Simi sleeper cells across the country.

In his confession, Shibli claimed the “responsibility (of) establishing links with the Taliban has been given to (Mumbai-based) Abdul Subhan.” He claimed that he, along with the hardline faction led by Safdar Nagori and Amil Parvaz, were pursuing “jihad”, and preparing for terrorist strikes across India. Intelligence reports indicated that the Nagori faction had called a meeting in Ujjain July 5-7, where they decided to send cadres to Pakistan for weapons training. A camp to prepare for terror strikes within India had been held at Castle Rock, Hubli (Karnataka).

Some of the known names of Simi front outfits include Muslim Youth Cultural Forum, Muslim Youth Front, All-Bengal Islamic Students Conference, Khidmat-e-Khalaq, Ameer-ul-Muslimeen, Darul-Khuda, Juhapura Youth Federation, Students Islamic Federation, Sauhridaya Library, Quran Foundation, Minority Rights Watch, Ittehadul Musalmeen and Naujawan-e-Islam.
