Are SIMI elements taking shelter in Orissa?

Bhubaneswar (Orissa): Are elements belonging to the Students Islamic Movements of India (SIMI) taking shelter in Orissa after the massive crack down of Anti-Terrorist Squads (ATS) of New Delhi and Mumbai? .
This billion-dollar question has further embarrassed senior cops of the State including the Home Secretary TK Mishra, DGP Gopal Chandra Nanda and Director Intelligence, MM Praharaj, who are under tremendous pressure for various reasons.
Well-placed sources in State Intelligence however revealed on Thursday that a secret man haunt has begun in the State after reported presence of SIMI elements in the State.
After the massive crack down in Gujurat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra and New Delhi following the recent serial blasts, few SIMI elements have reportedly fled to Orissa and taking shelter at an undisclosed location, sources revealed.
Meanwhile, top Intelligence officials did not confirm the report only said the issue needs proper investigation. “In fact, we did not have any specific leads over this issue, but certainly, we are on alert,” a top Intelligence official told this Correspondent in condition of anonymity.
“District police chiefs were advised to keep vigil eyes in view of SIMI’s alleged involvement in serial blasts at various places including Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore and Jaipur,” he said.
According sources, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Balasore, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Salepur Pir Bazar, Kaipadar in Khurda, Nayagarh and Malisahi in Bhubaneswar are among those places, where SIMI elements could take happy shelter because of strong presence of Muslims.
